All supplies and safety equipment are supplied by Oak Knoll Farm. All helmets are sanitized for your safety between riders. However, if you have your own ASTM approved riding helmet that you would like to bring, we encourage you to do so. (NO BICYCLE HELMETS PERMITTED)
Please wear comfortable clothing with CLOSED toe shoes that you don't mind getting dirty (boots are ideal). Shorts are permissible during the warmer weather, with the exception if you are riding. Jeans or leggings are preferred if you do not own riding pants.
We prefer age 5 and over for riding & farm management. We find that most children under 5yr do not have the attention span to receive full benefit of the lesson. However, we can review each child case by case to determine if we are a good fit for them.
All information on pricing and packages can be found on our Forms page under Payment Options & Agreement.
Owning a farm is a 24/7/365 operation. However, we will be closed to the public for all Major Holidays. We are open 7 days a week with variable hours depending on the clients needs & the availability of Oak Knoll Farm. Lessons are by Appointment ONLY. Please do not show up to the farm without prior authorization.
Yes! We are family-friendly and have three children of our own that may be hanging around! However, if you are riding in a lesson, it is recommended that there be a chaperone for the child as safety of the horse and rider may be compromised from too much distraction.
As much as we love all animals, please do NOT bring your own pet to Oak Knoll Farm. It may distract the other animals at the farm, which could cause potential safety issues.
***Service animals welcome***
